(A) “The political topic is very heavy and complicating.” …×

(B) “The political topic is very heavy and complicated.” …〇

∩_∩
Lan: Haha, that’s really confusing, you look confusued!!

∩_∩

The situation is complicated and confusing.

 I’m complicated and confusing.

complicate:
complicate something to make something more difficult to do, understand or deal with
Oxford Learners’ Dictionaries

confuse:
confuse somebody to make somebody unable to think clearly or understand something
Oxford Learners’ Dictionaries

∩_∩

 I’m confused.
 I’m complicated.

The situation is complicated and confusing.

You can use “complicated” as an adjective, but you can’t say that people were/got complicated because they thought something was complicated. You could say that they were “confused”, “perplexed”, etc.

Not every adjective can be applied in all situations. People can be “complicated” if they are hard to understand:

I can’t figure her out. She’s a complicated woman.

She couldn’t understand the book. It was too complicated. She was perplexed.

 Lan is complicated and confusing.
 Lan
